Problematic anger
Problematic anger has been identified by Veterans and Families as a significant concern within the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and Veteran community. Anger can often be a response to stress, trauma or unmet expectations during and after service. It may be linked with challenges such as posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptom severity, depression, anxiety and harmful coping behaviours.
There are effective tools and strategies to help manage problematic anger. The following resources have been created for service providers, Veterans and Families to support a Veteran who is experiencing problematic anger.
