The announcement in early December that Dr. Patrick Smith, founding CEO of the Centre of Excellence on PTSD (CoE – PTSD), would be retiring caused many working in the Veteran and Veteran Family mental health space to reflect on the immense contributions he has made. Individually, as mentor, colleague, and friend to so many. And professionally, most recently as the visionary leader of a national team at the CoE – PTSD dedicated to improving health supports and the overall quality of life for those who have served our country.
