Military Family Appreciation Day: Honouring military and Veteran Families
Military Family Appreciation Day is acknowledged annually on the third Friday of September. It provides the opportunity for Canadians to recognize the unique sacrifices made by military and Veteran Families, who serve alongside their loved ones by navigating challenges on the home front.
Although they did not sign on the dotted line, these Families contribute to the nation through their unwavering support of and advocacy for loved ones, often carrying this responsibility on their own. It is important to acknowledge their distinct experiences and ensure they have access to the support they need.
